Trainee trader programme

Mako is looking to recruit a number of Trainee Traders to join our Options Trading teams this year. The intensive Trainee Trader programme is an educational base for our trainee traders. The programme, which runs for an 18 month period, covers the markets in which Mako operates and fundamental Options theory. The Trainee Traders work closely with senior traders learning how to use Mako bespoke trading models and systems, and assisting traders on a day-to-day basis.

Keeping our skills honed

Mako Group has a trading staff of about 90 professionals who execute trades, monitor and manage risk and positions. The traders and trainees share a common philosophy and style of trading that is team-orientated.

Our renowned in-house programme allows trainees to begin their career at Mako gaining immediate exposure to our business. In addition to participating in a rigorous syllabus of theory classes, trainees attend regular mock floor-trading sessions. The programme is aimed at developing our strategies and philosophies using proprietary models.
