COMMUNITY & CHARITY PROJECTS

We take pride in organising and contributing to a number of charity projects each year. We give our time and offer financial assistance, as individuals and as a group, to a wide range of causes. Please click on the links below to find out about some of the projects that we have donated to through our Dealing for Donation Day

FARM-Africa

Founded in 1985, FARM-Africa provides the training and support that poor rural communities need to identify and implement appropriate solutions to many of the key problems they face. Families are directly supported to help work themselves out of poverty through improved ways to manage their crops, livestock, forests and access to water.

Msizi Africa

Msizi Africa gives malnourished, hungry children in Africa access to nutritious food. Whether they're in orphanages, child headed households or schools they ensure they receive a healthy, balanced diet every day.

This complements the wider work of their project partners who aim to improve the lives of the children in their care, through educational and vocational opportunities, and rehabilitation.

HopeHIV

HOPEHIV is about the generation of hope. They support children and young people in sub-Saharan Africa affected by HIV/AIDS. They believe they have the potential to make Africa's future one of hope, rather than despair. Their roots go back to 1987 and today, HOPEHIV is helping some 50,000 vulnerable children and young people through some 40 partner organisations in 400 communities.

Haller

The Haller Foundation was established as a charity in 2004. Haller offers a model for practical economic development that is sustainable and environmentally sound. Their work is inspired by Dr Rene Haller who has over 50 years of experience in regenerating land in East Africa, primarily in the rugged and inhospitable land just outside Mombasa.

Building on the lessons he learned during the creation of Haller Park, they work in collaboration with local people to help them become self sufficient. The goal is not to hand hold but to hand over. As soon as a community is able to produce food sustainably, has access to safe water, healthcare and education, they move on to help the next one.
